Based in Helsinki and Tel Aviv, Iddo is a cinematographer working across countries and cultures. After graduating from film school and immigrating to Finland, Iddo began his career behind the camera as a clapper/loader in the early 2000s. Working his way up through the camera department, Iddo honed his craft the traditional way, gaining deep technical and practical know-how while experiencing up close the different working methods of the many directors, DoPs, and other professionals he has had the privilege of working with.

Establishing himself as a cinematographer with a vast and versatile experience, Iddo’s work is characterised by a deep narrative approach, each project tailored with its own specific visual language, it’s tone, pace, and atmosphere carefully crafted to best serve the story. Among his credits are award-winning feature films and documentaries, as well as international television series, including productions for Netflix, Keshet, and YLE.

His broad and extensive background allows for a deep understanding of the filmmaking process, from initial development to final image, and the ability to keep story integrity and artistic vision whole while working within a production’s specific constraints and limitations.

In addition to cinematography, Iddo has experience as a director and writer; his short film Tuolla Puolen (Reunion) received a special mention at the Berlinale, Best Short at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and was an official selection at dozens of festivals worldwide. He also has experience as cinematography lecturer at the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School.
